With all of the cold weather and snow we’re having in Indianapolis, I thought a fresh new trend idea would get us all thinking more about the warm temperatures to come. This ‘bohemian meets tribal’ style can work on both long or short hair and it adds a little spice to the traditional braids seen in 2009. I love how the braid looks like a rope wrapping around her head and the feather completes it like her own little headdress. The fact that the feather piece blends into her hair makes this more chic than outrageous. If you want to try this at home try to find a feather hair clip that is similar in color to your own hair with a pop of color and you are bound to turn some heads!
Do you have well water or hard water at home? Are you noticing your hair color looks an orange-yellowish color or not as bright and beautiful as it used to? It could be your water that is leaving hard metal ion deposits of calcium and magnesium on your hair. When these ions are mixed with soap it forms a gunk that may be left on the side of your tub (a cue to look for). These deposits left on your hair are more noticable on blondes or light colored hair.
We offer a Malibu treatment that contains an effective chelating agent known as EDTA. This strips the hair of the calcium and magnesium deposits and makes hair look bright, fresh and new again. Also, a shower or bath filter and the Malibu 2000 shampoo is great to use at home to help eliminate ions from depositing onto your hair in between salon treatments.
